What is the difference between In-Station and Out-Station students?


Out-Station students are the ones who are not from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) whereas In-station students are the ones who are from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The process to apply for membership is mentioned in the memebrship area of the website.

What are the benefits of going on an international internship through IAESTE?

How do I apply for an offer after becoming a member?


Once you become a member, you will be notified of offers via email and may apply to offers suited to your liking. The membership for in station members is valid throughout the entirety of your course duration.

Does buying a membership guarantee me an internship?


No, it is not necessary that you will get a chance for an internship by joining IAESTE. Although you can apply for each of the internship offers once you are a member of the organization.


How will I know if an offer has been won?


The IAESTE team will get in touch with you if you win an offer and thereafter guide you on how to go about it. Furthermore, you can check the website for the status with respect to a particular offer.

Will IAESTE be responsible for getting me the VISA and other necessary documents for the internship?


IAESTE does not guarantee you a visa, it simply assists you in the process of applying for one.


Who selects the winner for a particular offer?


Once the deadline has crossed, all the applications and CVs for a particular offer are reviewed by a panel of professors who then decide who is best suited for that offer.

Is this a certified internship?


Yes, if the intern has successfully completed his/her internship in the stipulated duration, IAESTE provides a certificate for the same.


Can an IAESTE internship be used as the eight semester project?


IAESTE India LC Manipal specifically releases offers that are tailor made for eighth semester projects and are accepted by most universities.
